With many writing the obituary on the DVD rental business, how has Atlanta's Videodrome survived the surge of competition from Netflix and other streaming services? I checked in for ArtsATL.com.
Pulling from Healthgrades data science analysis of nearly 7 million physician ratings and reviews submitted by patients, I wrote the company's first-ever Patient Sentiment Report, which received national coverage from Forbes.
After leaving my job of 14 years (my first out of college), I wrote about the feelings of denial, bargaining, anger, depression and acceptance as I looked back at my transition out of that career and ahead to my next chapter.
That's me up there in the '80s, in case the rust-colored carpet didn't give it away. Here's me now, though you're still likely to catch me in front of a screen. I'm a writer, editor, and content strategist based in Atlanta by way of Chicago. I'm a Northwestern/Medill grad and Cartoon Network alum, currently working on the Healthgrades editorial team.
My writing runs the spectrum from blog posts about comedy and pop culture to personal essays about grief and loss, anchored in the experience of becoming a mom in the same year I lost my own mother.
