Outside of my professional roles, I've performed stand-up and improv, been a creative contributor to [adult swim] shows, and written spec material for writing program applications and assignments.

NBCUniversal Late Night Writers Workshop
Submission Packet

I was a finalist for NBCUniversal's Late Night Writers Workshop, based on a submission packet that had to include monologue jokes, ideas for late night desk bits, and two "Saturday Night Live" sketches. After publishing my packet on Tumblr, I still get positive notes each year from candidates who discover it while researching the program.

"Parks and Recreation" Spec Script
"Random Acts of Kindness"

As part of my application to NBCUniversal's Writers on the Verge program, I wrote a full spec script for "Parks and Recreation."

"Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" | [adult swim]
"Free Magilla" Airdate: Sept. 11, 2005

While working at Cartoon Network, I pitched a story idea to the creators of the Adult Swim original series "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" and co-wrote the produced episode.

"Sports Night" Spec Script
"Fear of Flying"

For a sitcom writing class taught by a former writer/producer of "The Wonder Years" and "Frasier," I wrote my final spec for an episode of the ABC cult hit "Sports Night."
